Have to go to this place. Great breakfast selection. Any type of coffee you get you will enjoy. Pastries and Sandwiches great as well. Even the table water is incredible, infused with cucumber and lime. The atmosphere is wonderful as is the service. Down the street from another great breakfast place Que Huevos. This place is better and worth the extra walk.
Beautiful and an ocean of tranquility. The service was better than a luxury resort. Manager a d waiter very interested in providing a great experience. One important aspect is that they serve kawaa superb coffee. We ordered the sopes de barbacoa. 3 big sopes loaded with meat..as an appetizer they offered baguette with flavored butter at no charge. The pineapple, mint and cucumber juice was very refreshing. Open space with lots of breeze.
This place is a true hidden gem that we came across today for lunch and will certainly visit again before we leave Playa del Carmen! Staff was so friendly and helpful and the food wasn't just delicious, but also presented in the most beautiful way. Prices are also very reasonable and the appetisers were such a nice touch.
Their french toast with fresh berries was delicious! Had a smoothie and took an iced coffee to go. The server was extremely attentive and was overall fantastic! Beware: the doggie pictured does not like blueberries
Walked past here for 2 months and finally tried it... wished we had tried it earlier! Lovely service, beautiful decor and friendly servers. Their cappuccino was perfectly fluffy, chai latte was hot, frothy and sugary (my favourite). Their Nutella croissant was . We’ll be coming back to try more of everything

What a wonderful place, 5-star all around! My friends threw me a birthday brunch on Sunday, 13 Nov and Bianca and the staff were incredibly accommodating and busted their butts to take care of our large party while running the rest of the restaurant. For that, I am so grateful. It was the best experience. Friendly, attentive service is worth the 5-star rating alone, but then the food! It's outstanding! They have a superb menu with a fantastic breakfast/brunch selection from chilaquiles to eggs benedict to egg sandwiches to avocado toast with a poached egg...everyone at the table was impressed and raving about their food. The coffee is high quality and delicious, and they have fresh juices and a great overall variety to suit any taste. I'm so glad Gran Cafe is in my neighborhood. Not only will I be back and highly recommend it, but I stop by on my walks sometimes and get an iced coffee or other espresso drink sometimes and Miriam at the counter (also in my photos!) is so friendly and lovely to chat with. It's like that "neighborhood place you look forward to going to!" Love it! Thanks guys!
If you head north on 5th avenue playa del Carmen away from the ferry terminal and Portal Maya Statue. You'll find a less touristy area of 5th 5th avenue where the crowd dies down a bit here you're going to find multiple wider coffee shops ...
